Retail Sales Assistant

Job Description:

In this role, you will deliver excellent customer service in point of sale and customer services processes while focusing on consistent execution and operational efficiency. You will deliver speed of service transactions while creating a compelling customer experience.

What You'll Do as Retail Sales Assistant:

• Welcome and assist customers effectively by guiding them through product and service options. Operate a cash register, scan items, bag purchases, and handle a variety of payment methods securely
• Maintain adherence to company guidelines for point-of-sale transactions and customer interactions, emphasizing the importance of delivering prompt, friendly, and efficient service
• Meet or exceed personal benchmarks including credit and allegiance
• Uphold inventory reliability through precise adherence to all mandatory sales and merchandise processing methods
• Support the orientation of new hires in the service department by instructing them on the optimal methods for handling tasks, coaching them on the appropriate protocols for processing sales transactions, and familiarizing them with the available technology and resources, all in accordance with Kohl's brand requirements
• Engage in routine service procedures such as recording transactions and reconciling cash, managing change requests, and restocking inventory

Required Skills and Experience of Retail Sales Assistant:

• Proficient in providing outstanding customer assistance and skilled at juggling multiple responsibilities with great precision
• Proficiency in expressing thoughts orally and in writing, along with strong interpersonal competencies, are crucial skills for success in various fields
• Previous retail background not needed
• Minimum age requirement is 16 years.
• Open availability, allowing for flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays
